Turgutreis

Turgutreis is the largest town on the Peninsula, after Bodrum.

It is named after the respected 16th century admiral, Turgut Reis. Together with neighbouring Kadıkalesi, Turgutreis is a 'Windsurfers' Paradise'. The strong prevailing winds & current create challenging & unpredictable conditions.

Turgutreis is famous for D-Marin Turgutreis Marina – the third largest in Europe, which has a berthing capacity of 550 yachts in sea & 100 yachts in dry berths (for yachts of between 8 m and 50 m in length) & is built with modern equipment & facilities to provide a range of technical, social & administrative services to yachts & their owners with high quality standards. The Marina also has provided a significant contribution to the tourism industry of the country.
